If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you probably already know that my view of luxury is way beyond traveling in first-class or staying in 5-star hotels. Luxury is more than just the amount of money you spend—it’s about how you spend that sweet, sweet money!
If you are on your way to a destination and happen to have a day in Dubai—why not make it a luxurious day? I wrote this article for people who are looking for the best experience if they ever have a day to spend in the city of supercars, elegant architecture, splendor, and luxury!
Dubai Transit
If you love traveling, being in transit isn’t really bad, especially if you get the chance to spend a day in one of the world’s best travel destinations. If you fly on an Emirates flight booking, you will most likely make a stop-over and see what Dubai has to offer. Can’t think of anything to do? Well, you are in the right place.
If you are in Dubai and you can and are willing to splurge out some cash, you might want to spend your day spending! (Pun definitely indented)
5 Luxurious Things to Do in Dubai Before Reaching Your Final Destination
You can do so many things in Dubai, and one day is not going to be enough. It took a while for me to curate this list, and I made sure that they are some of the most luxurious activities that money can buy!
#1 Make your day a SPA Day!
If it isn’t your first time in Dubai, or you are not really a fan of cramming too many activities in one day—well, pampering yourself to the world’s most luxurious spa is probably a good option for you. Because you are in transit, you probably want to look good and feel fresh before you reach your final destination—and there is no better way to look good than going to a luxurious spa! Plus, your appearance impacts your travel experience, and going to the spa is the best way to start!
The treatment starts with a skin-softening bath with revitalizing Arabian Gold Hamman. You will also get to experience a Diamond Rose body ritual and a gold facial! Yes, you read the right—an actual gold facial. It doesn’t get any luxurious than that.
#2 Go on a Luxury Safari Tour
This safari tour is not just like any other safari—it is a luxurious safari! The people in Dubai really know how to make something like a safari tour and take it up a notch to make it a luxurious experience.
You will get on a helicopter, which gives you the best seats in the house. You get a fantastic view of the horizon before you enter Dubai’s vast desert to get to see the wildlife reserve.
#3 Eat 23-Carat Ice Cream
Nothing screams luxury louder than eating 23-carat ice cream. Don’t worry, and they are 100% edible. The ice cream doesn’t just look expensive, but it also tastes expensive! You can get this famous desert at the Scoopi Café in the heart of the city.
#4 Eat Breakfast in the Sky
When I say eat breakfast in the sky, I didn’t mean booking a room at the tallest building in the world. What I really meant was riding a hot air balloon and eating a gourmet meal!
While enjoying the fresh air at high altitude, you will get served with breakfast, such as Eggs Benedict, fresh fruit, caviar, smoked salmon, and more! I never thought there was a better combination with being hundreds of feet above sea level and eating a luxurious gourmet breakfast.
#5 If All Else Fails, SHOP until you DROP!
If you have more time to spend after a long day of doing luxurious activities—you can end the day with shopping luxury brands at the Dubai Mall. It is a massive shopping center that carries 1,200 retailers and hundreds of designer and luxury brands. Shopping at the Dubai Mall is the cherry on top of a fantastic day of luxury!
Dubai Is a Luxurious Destination
Aside from the 5 activities I mentioned, there are a ton more activities to choose from. I only selected a few that is possible to enjoy in a day. Dubai is an insanely rich country, but it doesn’t mean you don’t need to be careful with your cash and valuables wherever you go.
If you ever get a chance to go to Dubai or stop over, make sure you select one or more of the luxurious activities I mentioned above. Have fun in Dubai, and who knows—maybe we’ll see each other there.
