SFO - UN Sheltering Humanity Project

Some causes are much beyond the commercial return they bring. They are just about being human.

• We are working along with UN / Foundations / Trusts Worldwide to introduce an innovative housing technology for the homeless in cities and nomadic tribes. Work has already started. We are taking this to every other country as well which needs such solutions.
• Our Sheltering Humanity Project aims to construct houses phase wise
• Affordable Housing for Homeless in cities.
• Free Houses for Below Poverty Line Communities.
• Our teams alongwith UN teams have / are seeking consent for building these houses in place of hutments.
• We also runs their programs for the following
• The homeless / tribal people do not have their own capital . Hence they need skilling to generate job based revenue. This is provided by the trust.
• Women empowerment program is run.
• Health program is run.
• Education programs are run.
• Companies are partnered to grow medicinal plants and buy back from the tribals.
• Thus not just house, but supporting a life is facilitated.
• What more spiritual journey can one undertake than to support human lives which cannot even live basic human rights properly.
• Similar and bigger subsequent phases are also planned.

Housing For Homeless 

• Everyone has a fundamental human right to housing, which ensures access to a safe, secure, habitable, and affordable home. UN-Habitat places affordability, sustainability and inclusiveness of the housing sector at the core of the urbanization process to ensure access to adequate housing for all.  Housing is more than just a roof; it’s the opportunity for better lives and a better future.

• By 2030, UN-Habitat estimates that 3 billion people, about 40 per cent of the world’s population, will need access to adequate housing. This translates into a demand for 96,000 new affordable and accessible housing units every day. Additionally, an estimated 100 million people worldwide are homeless and one in four people live in harmful conditions that to their health, safety and prosperity.

• Access to housing is a precondition for access to employment, education, health, and social services.

• In order to address the current housing challenges SFO is working with all levels of government to put housing at the centre of urban policies by placing people and human rights at the forefront of urban sustainable development. Plus SFO is funding such development. 

Tribal Housing

• Majority of the Tribes are deluged in poverty; Unemployment, Malnutrition, Infant mortality, Low literacy rate, etc. are some common factors among them. Here SFO  is introducing a new way of housing technology for the tribes in India. The Tribal Housing Project aims to construct Millions of houses for the tribes across the world.
• Cement Fibre Panels which is a new strategy used for constructing homes to maintain environmental sustainability. Fibre Cement Panels are mainly cement bonded particle boards and cement fibre. It is considered one of the major contributions to the society to reduce global warming, which may take only 12 days to complete a fully furnished house at a cost of 4 lakhs 92 thousand for 370 Sqft with Traditional Indian Architectural design. SFO believes that Shelter is the foundation of development, and through “TRIBAL HOUSING” we can bring the Tribal groups into the mainstream of the society, and this project will make a noticeable change in the lives of Tribes in India.
