3 Things to Do This Week in Palm Beach County: September 19-26

September 19-22: Boca Bound

South County hits the stage in Boca Bound: A New Musical. This original show from White Ibis Productions tells the story of Nadine, a recently retired New York attorney who embarks on a journey to self-discovery disguised as a vacation to Boca Raton. September 20-21: The Victory Dolls

A new musical group, The Victory Dolls, is reviving WWII–era hits with the goal of inspiring audiences and honoring those who have served. This weekend, they’ll premiere I Left My Heart at the Stage Door Canteen, featuring a vintage aesthetic and choreography paired with modern renditions of 1940s classics in three-part harmony. Performances are scheduled for Friday, September 20, at the Delray Beach Playhouse and Saturday, September 21, at the Mizner Park Cultural Center in Boca Raton. Both shows will benefit and raise awareness for veterans and military organizations such as Honor Flight of South Florida. For more information, click here.

September 21: Game of Thrones in Concert

Spoiler alert: Winter is coming to West Palm Beach. Fans of the mega-hit HBO show Game of Thrones, which aired its last episode in May, will be able to return to the realms of Westeros when the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience arrives at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre September 21. The immersive orchestral production features music by Emmy Award–winning composer Ramin Djawadi set to visuals from GOT and new imagery made specially for this tour. Attendees will hear songs spanning the show’s entire run, from that iconic opening credits tune to the final season’s chilling Night King theme. If the words valar morghulis don’t mean anything to you, fret not—it’s still sure to be an exciting evening of live music. But, for those who have “The Rains of Castamere” as their ringtone, use “The Winds of Winter” as their get-pumped jam, or hum “Jenny of Oldstones” on the daily, this is the concert for you.
