5 Farmers Markets to Visit this Fall

For South Florida residents, heading to a farmers market or green market can be the best way to find organic, ethically-sourced produce and meat. With the harvest season kicking off, now is the perfect time to support local farmers and artists by checking out these five farmers markets around the community.


Boca Raton GreenMarket (open through May)

  • Open Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Royal Palm Place shopping plaza

The Boca Raton GreenMarket opened for its 20th season on October 29, hailing the arrival of Florida’s fall fruit and vegetable harvest. At the market’s location in the heart of downtown Boca Raton, over 45 local vendors offer visitors their pick of fresh produce, plants, bakery items, fresh flowers, cheeses, fish and seafood, dog treats, homemade bath and beauty products, and much more.


The Gardens GreenMarket (open through May 7)

  • Open Sundays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the City Hall Municipal Complex

The Gardens GreenMarket, located in the City Hall Municipal Complex, aims to combine a “green” shopping opportunity and a cultural event where visitors can gather, socialize, and support local vendors. The market offers fresh flowers, produce, baked goods, pet products, fresh-caught seafood, handmade soaps, candles, artisan jewelry, and orchids, as well as unique wares such as nitrogen ice cream, kombucha, and raw honey.

Delray Winter GreenMarket (open through May 20)

  • Open Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Old School Square Park

Downtown Delray’s Winter GreenMarket is a family-friendly, pet-friendly open air marketplace that opened for its 21st season on October 29. The market offers locally grown produce and fruit, farm-fresh eggs, raw milk, fresh squeezed juice, ethically-sourced meats, artisan baked goods, and more. Human Powered Delray offers a complimentary bike corral to store your bike while you shop, and visitors can also adopt a pet from Dezzy’s Second Chance Rescue or Tri-County Rescue at the market.


Lake Worth Farmers Market (open through April 29)

  • Open Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old Bridge Park

The Lake Worth Farmers Market is open rain or shine, bringing the wares of over 80 vendors to visitors at Old Bridge Park each week. Local stands offer fresh fruits and vegetables, artisan baked goods, fresh orchids and other plants, handcrafted soaps and candles, and more. There are also many breakfast and lunch options to snack on while you shop, listen to the weekly musicians, or stroll through the market with your dog.


West Palm Beach GreenMarket

  • Open Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 101 South Flagler Drive

Shop more than 80 vendors on the scenic West Palm Beach Waterfront at the West Palm Beach GreenMarket. Offerings include local produce, plants, exotic flowers, baked goods, gourmet foods, teas, coffee, and more. The WPB GreenMarket features live music, unlimited mimosas for $10, free activities for kids, and free parking in the Banyan Parking and Evernia city garages during market hours. The GreenMarket is dog-friendly.
