One of the biggest events on Myanmar’s calendar, the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival is a time where pilgrims across the country will visit the storied Inle Lake to pay respects to the 800-year-old Buddha images on site. As such, Sanctum Inle Resort has launched the Splendid Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival Package that allows visitors to enjoy a one-day sightseeing tour to experience the religious event, where four of the images  will parade around the lake in a barge with a procession and make its way to 14 stilted villages on the lake.
