Had enough KAWS yet? No? Perhaps you just missed the Cactus Plant Flea Market merch, Fortnite collab, Nike Blazers, Human Made shirts, Reeses Puffs, and perfume that all emerged in the past month alone. Or, maybe, you love it all and want more.
In that case, good news!
The ever-in-demand artist is on the move yet again, installing his seventh ‘KAWS:HOLIDAY’ sculpture from November 13-21 at The Float @ Marina Bay with the full support of the Singapore Tourism Board. This is The Float’s final public artwork until its makeover in March 2022.
If you’ve seen any of the previous ‘KAWS:HOLIDAY’ events, you know what to expect. Again, KAWS has placed an enormous 42 meter (138 feet!) Companion figure into the organic environment.
I haven’t seen any ‘KAWS:HOLIDAY’ installations in person before but, especially with land-based ones like this, I assume you can’t really get a good visual of the figure except from the air. Otherwise, you’re basically just looking up at a big ol’ inflatable.

And, of course, there’s merch aplenty for even the fans without means (or public safety measures) to travel.
Launching at 10 p.m. EDT on DDT Store’s website, the lineup includes a trio of Companion figures in matching poses, shirts, bamboo fans, and — best of all — a set of collaborative Helinox seats (limited to 500 pieces) so you have finally have KAWS to camp in style. Sorry.
Previous ‘KAWS:HOLIDAY’ destinations included a hot air balloon ride in the UK, a lazy river ride in Hong Kong, and outer space, kinda.
‘KAWS:HOLIDAY’ yields destination artworks in a similar vein to Yayoi Kusama, where you simply go for the sake of a photo op. Can’t say I’m opposed to getting more people outside, though, so it’s at least an appreciable cap to KAWS’ all-encompassing October.
