Gearing up for his cocktail bar in the Aerocity, called ‘LIV Bar’ Umang Tewari shared a few details of the new space with TMM. Excerpts:
What’s special about Aerocity as the new food and nightlife hub of Delhi-NCR?
Aerocity is surely the next food & nightlife destination of Delhi-NCR, as it’s located in the middle of the city, both from Delhi & Gurgaon. What’s the exact concept of LIV Bar?
The concept of LIV bar is very unique and first of its kind in Delhi –NCR. It’s a very cozy and small cocktail bar with no Menu for cocktails itself. So guests can come down to the bar and interact with our trained batch of mixologists and choose their preferred ingredients, fruits, flavors and alcohol and make his/her own cocktail. The concept of your own cocktail bar, where you make your own cocktail has been introduced in India for the first time. As the name suggests, LIV will surely live up to your joy of cocktails and on your own conditions. It’s your everyday bar which will bring live music every day with comfort food and innovative cocktails. The place is a ‘Compact Bar’ which is all about international vibes.

The unique thing about this bar is, here we use all fresh ingredients & all homemade syrups, cordials, and purees. We have a huge range of fresh fruits, herbs, spices, vegetables from where guests can choose their own ingredients then choose base spirits and get their own cocktails.
What is your strategy to increase footfalls and improve sales?
The food and beverage industry is always in a state of evolution. It is always on a constant mode of bringing new things, new menus, new concept, and new ambiance. The industry has evolved from the more traditional concept towards international concepts. We make sure to keep bringing innovations with the concept, food, and drinks to entice our customers. After staying in the industry for so long, one thing we know really well is, that one just cannot fool the customers. It is important for you to offer the right products at right time and at the right price. Stay consistent on your performance, and your customers would always like to come back.
What are the 5 things people should expect from LIV Bar?
I am very excited about LIV as it is the compact bar built up internationally. Good food, good vibes, good drinks, good ambiance, and good services are the only 5 things one should expect at LIV Bar.\
