One of Perth’s most celebrated luxury hotels, COMO The Treasury, has just announced the launch of its new Millbrook Winery Experience, giving guests an exclusive immersion into Western Australia’s famous food and wine scene.
Following a helicopter tour over Perth taking in sites including the Swan River and Cottesloe Beach, you’ll land in Margaret River’s award-winning wine estate, Millbrook Winery, for a unique wine blending session and the opportunity to take a bottle of the wine home with you.
Surrounded by the sweeping views of the estate’s forest, hills and lakes, you’ll then be treated to a lavish lunch prepared by the winery’s head chef Guy Jeffreys (who was named 2017’s Chef of the Year by the West Australian Good Food Guide), in which each dish comes with wine pairing.
Reflecting the innovative use of local ingredients he’s renowned for, Jeffreys will cook up a seasonal meal incorporating produce from the winery’s own garden where over 100 varieties of heirloom vegetables are grown alongside stone fruits, figs, apples and herbs, with olives, free-range eggs and honey also cultivated here. Each dish is skillfully designed to complement Millbrook’s award-winning vintages.
As a part of this package, which includes return helicopter flights, wine blending with a bottle to take home, a tour of Millbrook Winery and gastronomic lunch, you’ll have two nights’ accommodation at COMO The Treasury in a Heritage Room overlooking Cathedral Square, Stirling Gardens or the city.
The Millbrook Winery Experience is priced at AUD 3,995 (USD 2,885) for two people.
