Please describe your journey in the healthcare industry and how you went to become the CEO of Prayag Hospitals.
I always wanted to work in the healthcare industry with an aim to set up a chain of hospitals where people can walk up to with confidence that this hospital is not an institution of expense.
You recently opened a department of thought medicine at Prayag Hospitals, please explain what change does it aim to bring since it is all about alternative healing
We have launched a department of thought medicine where we cure any disease or any negative emotion, depression, and anxiety by working on the brain waves. We are healing and curing diseases and mental stability by not using medicine. It is a medicine-less department where we don’t use the medicine at all when it comes to healing and treating patients. We are treating a lot of addicts, depression patients and medical illness patients where the medical science fails or where there is nothing beyond medical science.
As a businesswomen running a successful chain of hospitals, what are your future plans
The business vision is to come up with a group of hospitals where we can provide affordable treatment to the masses and keep our policies very transparent. As in the medical industry, we get a lot of clients where they don’t even know that they
are eligible for free treatment, or they can get themselves referred from a government hospital and get themselves treated to a private hospital. This is our business goal and we are also focusing on creating 5000 jobs in the next 5 years.
Coming up with a big group of hospitals doesn’t mean adding on the revenue and the numbers. Also, to expand our department of thought medicine where a lot of people where medical science fails or it doesn’t have an answer or treatment towards certain things where operations and transplants are the only way out and a lot of people don’t want to go for such big surgeries. This is where our department of thought medicines comes in where we work solely on the roots of thoughts which are creating more stress hormones and that lead to disease.
What tips can you share for a rewarding career in Healthcare industry
The biggest tip I can share for a rewarding career in the healthcare industry is that it is a very noble industry where you can do business and earn for yourself while giving back to society.
The second tip is following a mix culture where we follow our typical Indian culture and Corporate culture. Every customer coming to us is not part of the corporate world, so we follow a mix of Indian working and corporate culture when it comes to healing patients, treating patients and curing diseases, maintaining a good work culture.
The third tip is that you have to take care of your staff in a very tracked manner, be it guard, housekeeping, GDA, nurses, doctors, even the admin staff because in the end your staff works for you, and you have to keep your staff happy. Giving them a high salary should not be the only agenda. Giving them a sense of good health, mental peace and keeping a track of their good health is equally important to ensure that our hospital runs smoothly and efficiently with a happy staff.
Lastly, keeping things transparent nowadays it is very important to keep things transparent between customer and hospital and also to keep things transparent between the staff and the management.
