One of the stars in Adele’s “Easy On Me” music video, other than English singer-songwriter herself, of course, is the scenic Domaine Dumont Chapelle Ste-Agnès.
Less than two hours from Montréal, Québec, it is an 1846-built manor house nestled within a magnificent vineyard. The 173-acre European-style estate is listed at US$4.37 million and features a castle, chapel with a new reception hall, guest house, and a three-car garage. On the grounds, there are 7,000 grapevines with equipment for making ice and port wine, as well as 11,000 maple trees for syrup production.
As per real estate company Engel & Völkers Montréal, the exclusive property has a total of 10 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and four powder rooms. The multi-award-winning estate has gone through several renovations in 1990 and 2021, with lavish interiors reminiscent of Medieval times.
Every corner of the manor feels palace-like, especially with ornate doors that shows stunning craftsmanship. The wine rooms are constituted with French accents like vaulted ceilings and terracotta tile floors. The chapel has a distinctive European style featuring mosaic windows and a domed roof. The stunning estate also contains a number of antiques and works of art.
The room that appeared in “Easy On Me” is the grand dining space — a red room with a floral ceiling, velvet walls, patterned drapes, a sturdy wood table, and adorned with a crystal chandelier. Inside the room, there is also a dramatic portrait of Adele hung on the far end as a nod to the music video.
The 33-year-old musician premiered “Easy On Me” on 15 October 2021 and her music video gained more than 22 million views on YouTube by morning the next day. Taken from her notable album “30”, Adele overtook Internet’s sensation Olivia Rodrigo and secured the Guinness World Record for the most streamed track on Spotify in a week. Today, the music video has more than 237 million views on YouTube.
The music video was directed and co-produced by Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan with French Canadian cinematographer André Turpin and French-Québécois producer Nancy Grant. The team also worked on Adele’s smash hit “Hello” back in 2015, which was the first song to ever sell a million copies within a week.
