Afternoon tea has to be one of my favourite things to do in London. The Wolseley located on the Piccadilly one of London’s most famous boulevards. The grand European building is gorgeous, as soon as you step in. The high ceilings, gold, black and cream shouted out expensive.
I felt like I was in one of gossip girl episodes where Serena and Blair go to Paris, dining in exquisite places.
The Wolseley is most popular for breakfasts, but my friend and I wanted to try the afternoon tea. It was one my to do list from my Barclays things get hotter post.
For £23.75 per person you get a selection of cakes, finger sandwiches and a choice of tea. The pastries are every changing, served on a 3-tier tea stand, the revealed the scones. The middle had 6 pastries and finally the bottom a selection of finger sandwiches.
Overall I think the afternoon tea was great value, the pastries are delivered, and sandwiches were good. I would recommend it to anyone for an experience to dine at a prestige looking place.
