You can always count on Amy Schumer to capture every moment! The 38-year-old took to Instagram on Friday, October 4, to share a photo of herself from when she found out she was expecting baby No. 1 with her husband, Chris Fischer. Let’s just say, she did not disappoint.
“#TBT the day I found out I was pregnant in [Jessica Seinfeld’s] bathroom,” she captioned the snap of herself sitting on a toilet with a pregnancy test on the sink. Her son, Gene, was born in May, which means the pic was mostly taken around August 2018. Evidently, fans are loving the fact that Amy decided to share the special moment with the world. “If I had a picture, it would look exactly the same LOL,” one person commented. “Love it! Super person to raise a child!” wrote a second person. “Perfect portrait of a mom-to-be!” a third fan commented.
So much has happened since the photo was taken. For starters, early on in her pregnancy, Amy learned that she had hyperemesis gravidarum, which is a “condition characterized by severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss and electrolyte disturbance,” according to the American Pregnancy Association. “Mild cases are treated with dietary changes, rest and antacids.”
As a result, the I Feel Pretty star had to cancel her tour after doctors told her she wasn’t cleared to travel. “The baby and I are healthy and everything looks good,” she shared on Instagram in February. “But I am in my [third] trimester and I am still nauseous all the time and vomiting. I vomit mostly every time I ride in a car even for [five] minutes.”
Though it was a challenge, Amy had a positive attitude about it. Luckily now, she’s doing better than ever. She’s not only feeling good, but she’s also looking great! On September 30, the blonde beauty shared an Insta photo of herself rockin’ a bikini and revealed she lost weight after giving birth. “OK Simpson! Well, I’ve lost 10 pounds and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker. #norush #givememymoneybackkim” she captioned the photo with her sister, Kim Caramele.
We couldn’t be happier for Amy. You go, girl!
