In homage to Zanotta, an innovative and often unconventional furniture brand, which routinely changed the design industry since its founding in the 1950s, home furnishings retailer W Atelier threw an Italian-themed evening get-together for some 50 guests at its new $7-million flagship showroom at Henderson. With its live kitchens transformed into a gathering point, Chef Matteo Pertoldi from Atipico and Giacomo Pallesi of Angra Wine & Spirit — both Italians — tantalised palates with tastes of home. With Zanotta’s brand reps in attendance, the well-satiated guests took delight in the first looks of many novelties including the Judy armchair, Taschino night stand and Flamingo sofa. The well-loved Sacco chair (also the world’s first beanbag) was also displayed.
