It was in 1989 that street artist André Saraiva first introduced the world to ‘Mr. A’, a winking stick figure with a wide grin and a top hat. Since then, his ‘Love Graffiti’ concept has travelled all over the world and made his iconic artwork instantly recognisable, whether you’re on the streets of downtown LA or in the back alleys of Paris.
Over the years, Saraiva has collaborated with a host of top-tier brands, including Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and Chanel, and this art month he’s landing in Lan Kwai Fong to bring his unique creative style to the district’s Savouring Art 2018 festival with a solo show at Loft 22.
And for those who love to eat, there’s more; Saraiva has inspired the food menus of 12 LKF restaurants – Casa Lisboa, CÉ LA VI, Ciao Chow, Employees Only, Fang Fang, Fumi, Gaucho, Jinjuu, Kyoto Joe, Los Sotano, Mercato and Porterhouse – and helped to give their dishes a thoroughly artistic makeover.
