Ares unveils Project Panther
Italy-based automobile in Modena, Ares has just released a new boutique version supercar “Project Panther”, featuring a low-volume exterior and effectively combined retro and modern aesthetics in the car body that were identical to that of a Pininfarina, Ghia, Bertone, and Karmann. The latest Project Panther was indeed an ambitious creation in which the company has produced up-to-date, after a two-door Bentley Mulsanne and a re-bodied Mercedes-AMG G63.
It is reported that the “Ares business model might include some of the profits being realised by selling the panels off for restoring wrecked Huracans.”
Designed to be lightweight with carbon fibre chassis and modern flourishes
Those who adore the modernity of a new Lamborghini will most definitely appreciate the “Project Panther” with a Pantera exterior. The retro-looking design took reference from the Pantera, featuring the two-door coupe with pop-up headlights, lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber chassis, complementing the large wheels at the front and its rear, handle-free doors and a sporty rear buttress outlined by its contemporary flourishes.
The overall outlook of an Ares is sharp while retaining the classic Bertone feel of the Pantera, but without looking too inappropriately retro. Made to traverse at top speeds of approximately 200 mph, the Ares Panther is powered by the same 5.2-liter, V10 engine as the Lamborghini Huracan, including the similar seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive system.
“Our new facility in Modena works perfectly for the growing market of special requests from car enthusiasts and Project Panther is the first of a portfolio of cars – and other surprises – that we will be presenting at an official opening in January,” said Dany Bahar, founder and CEO of Ares Design.
As of now, Ares has confirmed the Panther is currently undergoing final testing at its facility in Modena before the model car is released for sale sometime late next year.
