Following last year’s remake of the 1990 home jersey, adidas and Arsenal have announced yet another retro kit release ahead of the Holiday season. This year, the duo are bringing back the 1993-1994 away jersey.

In addition to the hero jersey (which is available in long- and short-sleeved versions), the adidas x Arsenal collection comprises a sweater-shirt, zipped jacket, and T-shirt.

Back in the early ’90s, the jersey was part of adidas’ EQT range, which was brought back recently and figures to be a big part of the Three Stripes’ marketing plans in 2022. The jersey is also representative of a successful period in Arsenal’s history, with the team winning the Cup Winners’ Cup in the kit.

Ian Wright, who played for Arsenal during that time, features in the campaign alongside current Arsenal men’s and women’s players. “I have amazing memories of playing in the adidas EQT jersey during the 93/94 season, and it’s great to celebrate that era with such a full and proper collection,” he said. “The range has got all the classics and we had a good time on set playing our different roles. I even had to remind some of first-team lads and women that we won the Cup Winners Cup that season so now that this is back, we have to win something!”

The jersey features Arsenal’s retro badge alongside the old-school JVC sponsor logo across the chest. A yellow base is broken up by navy blue diagonal stripes and red accents on the trim.

All items are available to buy from adidas.com, official club stores, and selected retailers from 13th December.
