Meet Gunjan Arora, a fashion designer, and garment exporter, who is an artist (Thread Arte by Gunjan & Rahul) at the core and that passion for art has made him stand proudly with his innovation where there is nothing called waste. The thought of maximum utilization of every thread has placed him as an iconic figure on the world map who has also been felicitated with many awards. The fact that he kept every single thread that would fall to the ground to be discarded in other factories as useless got him to start using these saved up threads, amounting to thousands of kilos by then, to create images. A piece of work that started with a little girl in the field, went on to eventually become 23 meters long and in the process got him to realize that problems may surround him but he needs to face up. He did. Today, Gujan holds a patent for his style of work across the world, working with steel threads as well as a technique where the thread forms the surface of the work. Each work is a reflection of what is going on in his life. It is hard to see through them though, but they communicate his current peace with drifting highs and lows.
