Things are changing! Ashley Graham opened up about how her sex life with husband Justin Ervin has changed since getting pregnant. The model isn’t shy about sharing what goes on in her bedroom, and her growing bump hasn’t changed anything about her candidness. Moms out there will probably find Ashley’s situation very relatable.
“I feel like every relationship goes in waves of sex,” she admitted during an interview with Vogue published on December 6. The 32-year-old and her hubby, 31, got married in 2010 so they’ve been through a lot of ups and downs together. “You’re like, ‘Hey, do we need to plan this?’ And now, with pregnancy, things have been really different.”
Her changing body has been the biggest adjustment — and the Sports Illustrated babe is looking for advice wherever she can find it. “There’s this huge bulge that can be sensitive if you lay on it or go into a new position. I’ve been literally asking every single one of my friends who have had babies or who’re pregnant, like, ‘What positions do you guys do?’ This has to be a normal conversation among mothers,” she added.
Ashley admitted that she is “flexible” which “comes in handy.” She joked, “How do you think I got like this?” Damn, girl!
The starlet and her husband definitely have hot chemistry — which she credits to waiting until marriage before having sex. “Something that it did for us was build up our friendship, and it also built up our trust and communication,” Ashley explained to magazine about their decision to abstain from doing it until they walked down the aisle. “Of course, we were sexually attracted — we would make out heavily. All those things were there. I wasn’t worried about, ‘What’s sex gonna be like with him?’ It was more, ‘Do I trust him? Is he someone I want to be with for the rest of my life?’”
Although they took their time to get started, they now stay very active in the bedroom. “Have sex all the time. Even if you don’t feel like it, just have sex,” she said as her key to having a great marriage. “I have found that if we haven’t had sex, we get snippy, and then if we are having sex, we’re all over each other … For us, it’s like, ‘Oh, let’s have sex.’ And then we’re just right back in a great mood.”
Thanks for always keeping it candid, Ash!
