Don’t mess with mama bear! Bachelor Nation alum Jade Roper fired back at a troll who called her 2-year-old daughter, Emerson, an “idiot” and said she needed “to get checked out.” The former Bachelor in Paradise contestant publicly shared the mean messages on her Instagram Story on March 2 and confessed that she was “sending” the hater “healing and love.”
“So so sick of seeing this s–t,” the 33-year-old wrote on the screengrab. “There’s a lot of hurt in this world, but love is still the answer. [I] feel sorry for people who feel the need to say these things, especially about a child.”
While she took the high road, the proud mom still defended her sweet daughter. “Wrong,” she added about the troll’s comments. “I think you meant she’s f–king brilliant, smart, curious, joyful, loving, hilarious, warm, caring, brave, happy, radiant, beautiful, adventurous, perfect in her own way.”
The reality babe later assured that she does “block every single one” of the trolls in her DMs and will “protect Emmy til the ends of the earth.”
Jade shares Emmy and 7-month-old son Brooks with her husband, Tanner Tolbert, whom she met during season 2 of Paradise. She exclusively admitted to Life & Style that “the mom guilt is real,” but the brunette beauty added that she and her hubby make a good team.
“He’s so good with our daughter, so I feel like when he sees I need help he’s very quick to step in with her, which is good for my mental health,” she explained during the WE tv Marriage Boot Camp: Family Edition premiere in October 2019. “Even today I was like, ‘I’m not OK, I need to talk to you,’ and he wanted to talk. That’s what’s so great that he’s so willing to be there for me.”
The newly minted mom of two got very real about the mental impact parenting has. “I was telling Tanner, as much as there’s so much joy, there’s so much extra that’s sometimes overwhelming and it’s like, talk to your loved ones, let them know what you’re going through because there is help and there is hope,” she added.
We think you’re doing amazing, Jade!
