Occasionally in winter, you can see the sun even in Paris. When it happens I always take this chance to “lighten up” my outfits (and then get sick as expected)!
This time I chose a sport chic outfit for an unuasual walk in Paris, and then my eyes came across a fantastic basketball court. I always loved the extravagant mergers between the worlds of sport and fashion.
It is no coincidence that so many designers have launched several successful collaborations with the giant brands in sportswear, creating collections of great impact: just think to Rick Owens and Stella McCartney for Adidas, Nike and Undercover to Sacai or to the skills of several designers like Raf Simons to input certain sportive influences even on the catwalks of p-à-p and haute couture.
In addition, the basketball court is also a part of my childhood and adolescence, then, with this post, I wanted to take the opportunity to reveal a hidden side of me.
Although it is hard to believe, when I was a child I used to play basketball in the team of my city (and I was also very promising ).
I remember that my mother brought me to attend a test day in a class of classic dance and I found it incredibly boring, although very fascinating, and finally I convinced her to subscribe me to this basket course. I have to admit that if I had a so beautiful court at my hometown when, I would have liked even more to play basketball!
In the outfit I’m wearing in the below pictures, I loved to mix the colors and the materials to create strong contrasts between the leather pants and the pull or the sneakers. In particular, I love the first look because the sweatshirt that I wear with those black details perfectly march with my decision to choose for this limited edition sneakers. How do you think?
