Francisco Marin is widely regarded as one of the world’s best travel photographers. His work has been featured in a number of internationally renowned publications and he’s also an instructor at Leica’s Singapore Academy. So what could be better than getting some photography lessons from the man himself while going on a cruise down the Mekong river in Vietnam and Cambodia?
As part of Aqua Expeditions’ ‘hosted departure’ range, the cruise will include a number of hands-on outdoor photography workshops where Marin will guide you through ancient Buddhist temples, floating Khmer villages and riverside markets, as he teaches you how to take the perfect snap.
Open to photographers of all standards, the Aqua Expedition cruise will also include a Q&A session where Marin will share his love of photography and the people of Southeast Asia, where he has lived since 2014.
However the fun doesn’t just stop at being able to learn how to become a master photographer. The Aqua Mekong ship was designed by Saigon-based architectural firm Noor Design, and offers a number of luxurious features including a fitness center, library, screening room (decked out with an army of Eames chairs, of course), a plunge pool and a fantastic restaurant serving some of the local area’s most flavorsome cuisine.
We all know taking the perfect holiday snap can be tricky, so the opportunity to learn from someone such as Marin is a fantastic one, and with Aqua Expeditions offering some of the world’s most luxurious river cruises you’d be silly to miss out.
Prices start at $ 4,860 per person based on double occupancy. Learn more at aquaexpeditions.com
