Bill & Coo Coast Suites, Agios Ioannis
This all day contemporary dining destination is a heaven for the carnivores and not only. Located at the Bill & Coo Coast Suites hotel overlooking the secluded Agios Ioannis bay, the world famous Beefbar enjoys a prime location and relaxing vibe. The tables are set right on the sand overlooking the mesmerising waters of the Aegean Sea.
The menu also features a generous selection of seafood dishes, the tuna tostaditas and sea urchin linguini that I tried were simply divine.
Greek cuisine and fresh local produce are carefully integrated into the menu, here you can taste all time classics like the Greek salad, horiatiki and a delicious spinach pie with a twist.
The gastronomic pleasures don’t end here, at the end of the restaurant you will find an impressive display of some of the world’s most exclusive meats — the Beefbar is world-famous for serving the renowned Kobe beef. The mini Kobe burgers served with truffle sauce are a must — these mouthwatering signature bites will make you taste buds fall in love.
For main course we savoured the tender Tagliata of Black Market Beef (grain fed for 260 days), served with french fries sprinkled with xinomyzithra cheese and oregano. For those who wish to enjoy the fresh catch of the day, the Reef Bar section of the menu offers everything from fresh lobster to calamari tempura. The unique setting, signature dishes and relaxed vibe make Beebar Mykonos one of the best dining experiences on the island.
Buddha Bar Beach
Santa Marina, A Luxury Collection Resort, Ornos Bay
Buddha Bar Beach is by far one of the hot spots of Mykonos. Located at the Santa Marina A Luxury Collection Resort this signature restaurant overlooks the Aegean Sea.
Here you will be immersed in a harmonious atmosphere, listening to the exceptional tunes of renowned DJs, sipping the best cocktails created by the established Buddha Bar mixologist, Matthias Giroud and enjoying the Myconian summer breeze.
The Buddha Bar menu offers an exquisite selection of Pacific Rim cuisine dishes with East Chinese, Japanese, Thai and other Asian flavors which harmoniously coexist with the Mediterranean touch.

Every single dish we tried on the menu was fantastic and the sushi selection is sensational!
Top off your dinner experience at the Buddha Bar Beach with mouthwatering desserts like Rasberry spicy sphere with white chocolate wasabi or Coco – mango bars with vanilla namelaka & mango sorbet.
La Maison de Katrin
Ayios Gerasimos and Nikou, Mykonos Town
La Maison de Katrin has been around since 1971 and is one of the well reputed on the island. Located on a narrow street inside Mykonos Town shaded by the most impressive bougainvillea, the restaurant serves both Greek and French cuisine.
As a starter you will be offered large olives called Amfisa which are produced in the Peloponnese and exported to Italy. This is the only restaurant on Mykonos were you can savor this variety.
For starters try the fish carpaccio served with aromatic herbs and vinaigrette, the refreshing mussels on a half-shell topped with tomato-basil sauce are simply divine.
Another great summer dish is the mozzarella di “Bufala” on beefsteak tomatoes with feta cheese. Then go onto prawns sautéed in a lemon-cream sauce served with rice or for a more authentic Greek option try the stuffed grape leaves and cabbage rolls with a lemon-egg sauce called avgolemono.
For the main dish we tried a fish steak cooked in the oven with a fresh tomato sauce, served with greens. Finish your meal with a heavenly cheesecake made with no eggs.
Ling Ling Mykonos
Mykonos is a flourishing culinary scene presenting some of the best international restaurant brands — Ling Ling Mykonos by Hakkasan is one of them. Everything from the décor to the exotic menu is spectacular.
We went and savored some of their signature dishes and cocktails, check out the full review here.
Nice n Easy
Alefkandra Sq., Mykonos Chora
Set on the waterfront of Mykonos Chora right next to Little Venice and the famous Windmills as a backdrop, this all day restaurant serves organic, locally grown food.
The creative minds behind this unique concept is Dimitris Christoforidis a Greek born, American raised businessman with a great passion for healthy eating and the award wining chef, Christos Athanasiadis who’s recipes have been featured in many gastronomy and television shows not only in Greece but also worldwide.
The menu features a plethora of Greek meze, healthy salads, seafood options, pasta, burgers and fresh caught fish. We tried their delicious Aegean style mussels and baby potatoes served with a fluffy cream.
For main course I went for their signature crusted salmon served with quinoa and my friend Marissa had chicken pasta.
Funky Kitchen
40 Ignatiou Basoula, Mykonos Town
Located inside a narrow cobblestoned street of Mykonos Chora this restaurant is among the top favourites on the island. The restaurant is a family business run by the talented chef Pavlos Grivas and his lovely wife Andrea.
Try dishes such as octopus carpaccio topped with Syros capers, wild oregano and pink peppercorns. In fact the capers here are fried and have a distinct flavour which is a must-try.
The savory panna cota made with traditional Myconian kopanisti cheese, sun dried figs and Greek prosciutto is something you must definitely indulge in.
The menu is not too big but the selection is well balanced and you can choose from pasta, meat and fish dishes. In fact a lot of the menu items are Gluten free and are market with a GF. We had the orzo pasta served with Santorini tomatoes, feta, Syros capers and Kalamata olives and chicken breast with artichoke, sun dried tomato and mushrooms.
Finish with a creative dessert like peach creme brûlée with mint ice cream.

This traditional beachside taverna is located on the Megali Ammos beach a short walking distance (10 minutes) from the Mykonos Windmills.

The prices are moderate and reservations are highly recommend as this place gets quite busy. It is definitely one of the best restaurants in Mykonos.

Some of the classics which you will find on the menu: Moussaka, beef burgers served with french fries and a Greek salad with kopanisti cheese. The prices were reasonable and service was fast.
Food Tours and Experiences on Mykonos
Bike and Wine Tour with Yummy Pedals
Experience the authentic side of Mykonos on a guided bicycle tour. The Yummy Pedals is a concept which was started by Dimitra who has a great passion for her island and wanted to show off its lesser known parts.
All the bicycle tours start at the Vioma Vineyard which is run by Dimitra’s family.
The Vioma Vineyard is located on a site of an old monastery in Maou, Ano Mera. Based on tradition and dedication, the grapes are cultivated with the help of classical music. Yes, Dimitra’s father believes that classical music helps to grow healthy grapes on the island. Thus the wine you will be drinking has a touch of classical sounds too — impressive right?
The Fokos Tour takes you through the rural landscapes of Mykonos and during the four hours you will bike through Ano Mera and end at the pristine beach of Fokos. Please note that the Myconian landscape is rocky therefore some strength and effort is required.
The tour ends back at the Mykonos Vioma Organic Farm where we tried delicious local delights such as kopanisti cheese, dakos rusk with grated tomatoes and feta cheese as well as the louza, a cured pork fillet made on the island of Mykonos.
