YouTuber Tana Mongeau tells Life & Style exclusively that her legendary friendship with Miley Cyrus‘ younger sister, Noah Cyrus, was born from their mutual “love for smoking weed,” which, if you’ve seen them hanging out on the ‘gram, makes a lot of sense.
“It’s very rare that I meet a girl who likes smokes as much as me. So Noah will never, Noah could probably out smoke me. I don’t even know,” the 21-year-old MTV starlet raves about her pal. “She’ll never turn it down. So, that’s how we bonded.”
Considering their tight ~herbal~ connection, the blonde beauty only has lovely things to say about the singer, 20. “But she also is just one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Her heart is so big,” Tana gushes. “She loves everyone for exactly who they are and it’s beautiful. So she’s great.”
Tana and Noah made their friendship known to the world back in September 2019, when they started hanging out despite having a mutual ex-boyfriend in rapper Lil Xan. Prior to the duo deciding to let bygones be bygones, Tana posted a video titled “The Time Lil Xan Cheated on Me + Why Noah Cyrus HATES Me: Storytime” to her YouTube channel in May 2019. With that clip in mind, it almost seemed like the girls would never end up linking up.
But since they first started chillin’ together, we’ve seen the Los Angeles ladies get flirty on social media, lick knives together (yeah, you read that right) and even establish their own ship name (“Nana” not “Toah”). In January, the vlogger shouted out her BFF in a sweet birthday post.
“Happy birthday, Noie. I’m late, f—king everything up, per usual, but I love you,” Tana wrote to her friend. “I’m happy you walked into my life in 2019. I can’t believe you’re finally 21. 2020 isn’t ready for you to light up every room you walk into. Thank you for loving me always, you ray of F—KING SUNSHINE.”
The Ponyo star then let Tana know she botched her age by just one year — and it was definitely hilarious. “BRO, I’M 20, not 21,” Noah replied to the sweet comment. “I love you so much even though you don’t know how old I am. Thank you for loving me and being an amazing friend to me, but bitch, I’m dead, I ain’t 21!!!”
Clearly, these two are #FriendshipGoals.
