Meet designer Jeetinder Sandhu, who was born in Rajasthan, a place which has played a significant role in inspiring designs, where he interprets the rich Indian heritage in a modern and contemporary way. Yet, as a designer, Jeetinder has been influenced by his travels across India and the world, making for a rich blend of the two.

Jeetinder moved to London in 2010 to study fashion designing at Istituto Marangoni. He showcased his final year collection at London’s Graduate Fashion Week in 2013 and was also invited to participate in the Istituto Marangoni Paris graduate show. What really got him in the spotlight the same year was the short fashion film he produced with film-maker Sebastian Mantilla in London for his collection, titled ‘Dyadic’, which was selected to show at Madrid Fashion Film Festival 2013 and Miami Fashion Film Festival 2013.

Returning home to India, he worked on his menswear fashion label, followed soon after by his first shoe line for men, in 2014. Jeetinder Sandhu stands out for vibrant colours, meticulous details and unique prints which mix traditional Indian heritage with an innovative twist for a modern clientele. Jeetinder did shoe collaboration with Berlin-based fashion brand Sadak for Spring/Summer 2016 at Mercedes Benz Berlin Fashion Week. In 2018, he partnered with New Delhi fashion brand Anaam and his enthralling shoe designs were showcased at Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai. His latest achievement is his first women’s shoe collection, launched in January 2019.

Jeetinder Sandhu is currently based in New Delhi, making bespoke shoes for clients all over the world. He is best known for his “Bling Bling” shoes, yet he strives to maintain a balance between the Eastern and Western world influences with the aim of appealing to both the markets.
