The BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sportscar has been named as the UK Car of the Year for 2015.
The UK Car of the Year Awards are judged every year by 27 motor journalists. There are 12 different categories. The BMW i8 won the overall title and also performance car of the year.
For BMW, it was the second successive year of victories for their hybrids; last year the i3 took the top award at the UK Car of the Year Awards.
Judges praised the i8’s fusion of looks, performance, and ecological nature.
