Tuesday night I attended the opening night and launch party of Bodo's Schloss, a new bar, restaurant and disco (aka, club) in Kensington, London. With Diego Bivero-Volpe and Antoin Commane playing partners-in-crime, the club was bound to 'wow', and oh my. It certainly did that! Bodo's Schloss is an alpine, Austrian ski themed bar and restaurant, with an 'old fashioned disco' for dancing after you've filled your bellies. The venue is surprisingly large and the attention to detail something very special, especially with the gingham clad waitresses, lederhosen wearing waiters, and ski lift pod DJ booth!
The invites came by traditional snail mail and were absolutely awesome. All hail the designer!

I took a group of friends with me, and we met a few other friends in there. We spent the night drinking cocktails made with schnapps, drinking beer out of tankards, and sipping some sort of intoxicating liquid out of a snow boot. All whilst being surrounded by Nordic looking staff in lederhosen.
This photo is for E. He was heartbroken that he's never appeared on the blog before so I promised he could be on it this time. |
Oh, and let's not forget my friend Mr Cecil (my name for him) on the wall!
We all had a blast at Bodos pretending we were in an Austrian chalet, and I'm not even kidding, you literally feel like you're there - you can still smell the fresh wood, and they even have a window with a ski scene behind it. Attention to detail people.
Of course as always we partied hard and threw some shapes at the 'disco'

If you fancy heading to Bodo's Schloss, they officially open on 26th October! And with Prince Harry living right behind the club, who wouldn't want to go! You never know, you may even spot him yodelling naked ;)
Huge thanks to my friend Chris; he took all of the good photos - isn't he an awesome photographer!? All photos are copyright - if you would like to use any of them please email me.
