This holiday season Milan-based Bottega Veneta has put the spotlight on 12 selected bottegas (Italian for creative workshops) from all corners of Italy — in a move to celebrate the very best of Italian craftsmanship
These 12 bottegas are independent boutiques carefully selected for their unique offerings, local realities and global distribution capacities. This initiative, known as “Bottega for Bottegas,” will see the luxury Italian brand “passing along its global visibility” — advertising spaces, newsletters, e-commerce and in-store spaces — to the bottegas.
Participating Bottega Veneta stores include its Milan’s Via Montenapoleone, Rome’s Via dei Condotti and in Venice. In replacement of the Italian luxury house’s signature intrecciato Jodie pouch and cassette bag are products that traverse beyond fashion.
Throughout the holiday season, you can expect to find heritage pasta by Pastificio Martelli, chocolate from Gay-Odin, richly coloured mosaics by Orsoni and other artisanal products. All of these represent the best of Italian craftsmanship, creativity and excellence.
The takeover, however, will not see Bottega Veneta selling these specially curated products. Customers will be redirected to the online stores of each bottega to shop. Furthermore, the fashion brand also stated that this is not a one-time affair. Bottega Veneta will refresh the collection of “Made in Italy” products each year so that artisans sharing the Italian passion for craftsmanship can be made known to a greater audience.

- Saponificio Varesino, Lombardia (soap)
