When I was 16 I got my first job (other than a volunteer position), it was at a small beach cafe and restaurant on Floreat Beach just north of Perth. It was 5 minutes down the road from our house, and was the perfect job for a teenager. I worked the hours I wanted, got paid a decent wage for someone my age, and the owners were amazing. It was called Costa Azzura, and they did the best seafood and breakfasts. The owners sold it shortly before I moved back to the UK, and it's now called The Kiosk. It's one of my favourite places for lunch, just look at that view!
As well as the great view, they also do really great food and drinks. Fresh juices, iced chocolates, iced coffees, and everything in between. For food they do breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and you can eat in or take away and go sit on the beach. They also have free wifi, which is a rarity in Perth! My favourite is their calamari and their breakfast dishes. Last week Cait and I went along for a very late brunch, and we got the Calamari and the French Toast with a wild berry and maple syrup.
The Calamari was absolutely huge and so delicious; the batter was nice and crispy and the squid rings weren't too chewy. The French Toast was so moorish, the wild berry and maple syrup combination makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The pricing was normal for Perth, $17.50 for the French Toast and $19.50 for the Calamari and Chips. Of course I wasn't satisfied with just the French Toast, I had to get my favourite while I was there; The Kiosk's Iced Chocolate. Some places do them so wrong, this place does them so right.
If you're in Perth, go check this place out, it's awesome! Also the burgers are really good here.
