Burst That Bubble! Flavour Blaster cocktails

The fancy cocktail you ordered arrives at your table. But before you can admire the beautiful colours or take a sip, the bartender brings out a gun-shaped mechanism, presses the button and out comes a big bubble floating on top of the cocktail! Pop it with a fork or gently blow and it pops, leaving the cocktail infused with a beautiful flavour. Say hello to Flavour Blasters at The Little Easy!

Bandra’s The Little Easy, known for its innovative cocktails, has once again raised the bar by launching the concept of Flavour Blaster Cocktails. The Flavour Blaster is the first piece of cocktail equipment ever standardised, and carefully safety tested to make these cocktails.

The Flavour blaster helps make beautiful bubbles with ease on top of the cocktail that infuses the drinks with an aromatic mist. Based in the United Kingdom, the JetChill were the ones who invented this. The bubbles create aromatic clouds for a dramatic effect.

The Flavour Blaster is essentially a lightweight bubble gun of sorts that is rechargeable via a USB cord and fits easily in the hand. On the gun is a magnetic tank to fill with an aroma of choice. The device heats the contents in the tank, producing a vapour. The bartender then dips the nozzle of the Flavour Blaster into a solution called Bubble X and pulls the trigger to form the vapour-filled bubble, laying it over the rim of the glass containing a prepared cocktail.

Faraz Khan, Bar Manager at The Little Easy says he had a lot of fun curating four fun and premium cocktails. “We have to ensure that the glass rim is thin so that the bubble stays on it. The alcohol content cannot be too high and there should not be a breeze, as the bubble won’t stay,” he shares.

The Gingerella is made of Absolut, honey brandy, triple sec, pineapple juice and lime cocktail and it is the fairytale intervention you didn’t know your taste buds needed. Topped with a glorious flavoured ginger bubble, this one comes with no time restrictions.

The Ballantine’s Day is spruced up with a shot of absinthe, red wine and passion fruit juice, basil leaf and cinnamon sticks finished with a garnish of a mixed berry bubble.

The Ga-Ga-Grapefruit has dark rum with honey brandy, cilantro, bell peppers, egg whites and asparagus reduction. The special grapefruit flavoured bubble makes this drink worth your while.

The Brosmary has Beefeater gin and Campari that come together with orange juice, egg whites and lavender maple syrup, infused with the added attraction of a burnt rosemary bubble to make your (and all your bro’s) new favourite drink!

There’s one thing we can say for sure, this is one bubble we don’t mind bursting!
