Featuring an architectural design concept specially developed by renowned US architect Peter Marino, the newly-revamped Bvlgari Landmark Chater flagship brings the spirit of Rome to Hong Kong.
Faithful to the signature architectural elements of the flagship store in Via dei Condotti in Rome, the new flagship is a restyling of the shop opened in 2002 on 8 Connaught Road and occupies 3,000 square feet inside the Landmark Chater building.
Peter Marino’s design concept was to utilise classic Italian marble and rare stones typical of Roman buildings and reinterpret them into modern geometries: marble is ubiquitous throughout the store, from the grand columns of the High Jewellery room to the opulent product rooms swathed in precious stones in vivid colours.
Entering the store, clients will feel like they have been transported to Rome, with the design intended to resemble an open-air promenade or piazza. Roman inspirations abound: on the floor of the entrance lies the brand’s signature eight-pointed Condotti star, while the Pantheon is captured within an interior design motif in the bronze latticework. Elsewhere, the round ceiling vault pays homage to the Pantheon dome and the cupolas of typical Baroque churches.
In the main entrance room, Bvlgari’s most iconic collections are presented on original Eros marble tables designed by Angelo Mangiarotti under the warm glow of a Murano glass chandelier hand-crafted by renowned Venetian art glass master Venini.
From the main area, clients can access more intimate spaces, including the High Jewellery Room and VIP Area, the latter of which pays tribute to the lounge originally dedicated to Elizabeth Taylor in the Via Condotti store, where the Hollywood actress escaped the paparazzi. The 1960s vibe has been recreated with vintage armchairs and onyx coffee tables and is directly connected to the Happening Lounge, where clients can savour an aperitif. Equally inviting is the Accessories Area, a tribute to the 1960s and the Italian designers of this vibrant decade such as Carlo Scarpa and Franco Albini. Discover more.
