Pankaj, who has graduated with top honors from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (N.I.F.T.) is also the winner of the ‘Uma Nath Gold Medal’ for topping academics and the ‘Ritu 
Kumar’ Award for Best Graduating Collection 1995. He also won the first Smirnoff International Fashion Award in 1994. And Nidhi who is also a bright and creative alumnus of N.I.F.T has worked with one of India’s leading Export Firms, The Creative Group which designs & produces for some of the biggest labels in Europe. The duo in October 2010 won the Grand First Prize at the International Apparel Federation’s International Fashion Award at the World Apparel Convention in Hong Kong and they were also the winners of the iconic International Woolmark Prize, 2012, India.
Their creations are charming and spontaneous, with generous use of colours, inspired by craftsmanship, symbolic and cultural objects. Pankaj and Nidhi invent a contemporary language, create clothes that tell stories for women who love freedom and authenticity and are always on a quest for originality. Their latest quest for summer creation took them a notch higher and it is a juxtaposition of the season’s Kalicoo which is spelled as “Calico”, a silhouette that is acknowledged for its calmness and peace. The latest Summer Pret Collection “Kalico” is a type of cotton cloth, typically plain white or 
unbleached. It is an assortment wrapped in impeccable, ideal, unwinding hues to keep the quarantine lifestyle in a perfect symphony.
While the quarantine time had its own pros and cons, the designer duo left no stone unturned in bringing the best in terms of innovation and craft. The same reflected when the duo decided to be a part of the biggest fashion gala event when FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week came together and turned out to be a historic merger in the world of fashion.
A delicate interplay of soft dainty prints which bring out the romance and modernity happened to be the key elements of the collection. This season’s assemblies are easy, breezy, and soothingly attentive in their mix of natural colors and mellow hues. Keeping the same in view, each piece is carefully crafted with exquisite cruel hand embroidery on linen and cotton as it translates into a fuzz-free mural.
