To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the revered restaurant Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, Tom Kitchin, Jean-Philippe Blondet and Alain Ducasse will join forces to create a special one-off dining experience.
The three chefs have come together on a five-course wine paired menu, with each dish showcasing their unique cooking styles. Fusing together Scottish and French flavors, the menu comprises everything from West Coast shellfish with a seaweed rockpool to a saddle of Borders roe deer served with root vegetables and fruits.
Widely regarded as one of Britain’s top chefs, Tom Kitchin is most well-known for his Edinburgh eatery, The Kitchin, which won of a Michelin star in its first six months of business (and also made Kitchin the youngest recipient of a Michelin star, up until this year).
Previously Kitchin has worked with Pierre Koffman, Alain Ducasse and Guy Savoy, meaning the evening will be a form of homecoming for the Scottish chef as he is finally reunited with one of his early mentors.
Kitchin and Blondet, who is currently executive chef at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, both previously worked with Ducasse at Alain Ducasse at Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse à l’Hôtel de Paris in Monaco, where they learnt how to craft menus that blend seasonal flavors with exquisite presentation and flavor.
The evening takes place on Thursday 23rd November and begins at 7pm with a Champagne and canapé reception in the presence of Alain Ducasse. Tickets are priced at $385, with the final batch of tickets released on the 30th October. For more information please visit alainducasse-dorchester.com
