Cha Cha Moon – Alan Yau Franchise

Cha Cha moon is another restaurant opened by Alan Yau, if you do not know he is the mastermind behind Wagamama, Busaba eathai, Hakkasan and Yauatcha.

Alan opened this noodle bar reworking Hong Kong street style food to dine at a restaurant.

I joked about the name when my friend took me here, calling it “mong cha cha” LOL the logo on the label looks very familiar to TVB icon as well.

When I first visited Cha Cha moon back in 2008-2009 every single dish was priced at £3.50 but adding 10% service charge plus a drink a meal here will be around £6-7. I remember it was the first time I tasted salty lemonade, what a experience, I couldn’t even handle one sip!

Nowadays the prices has raised and a dish is from £6 onwards, I loved the HK style tea it was so frothy and different to the ones I have tasted in Chinatown. I have tried mayalsian style noodles here and noodles in soup. Portions are quite small if you are in the Carnby Street try this place! The seating and tables are very similar to Wagamama but is more ambient in lighting.
