The Chanel Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2021 collection was unveiled today at 2 pm. The Grand Palais in Paris, as per tradition linked to the Chanel maison fashion shows, has opened its doors today to give us this daydream.
In fact, in this historic moment, when the women’s world is now resigned to comfy fashion as the only form of maximum elegance possible, today, thanks to the Chanel Haute Couture spring-summer 2021 fashion show and the talented Virginie Viard, it has been able to abandon itself once again to the dream and a lost grace.
On the catwalk today there were not only beautiful models that embody chanel’s style and idea of femininity, but also the inspiring muses of the maison of the moment, Penelope Cruz and Marion Cotillard.
Directing the video of the show and making us dream, there is the famous dutch director of Control, The American, Life … needless to say, the video speaks for itself.
A desire for carefreeness and an elegant lightness spirit animates Chanel’s new Haute Couture collection.
The skirt is once again the indispensable piece for the dreamy woman of 2021. Whether it’s made with tulle, wide and long, to wear with a simple contrasting silk shirt, or short in tweed or with ruffles (dominating also the scene on the evening dresses and long skirts), it doesn’t matter.
Chanel’s signature tweed is for the occasion embellished with lurex and sequins to create contrasts of light – it’s the dream.
The evening dresses look like those of an enchanted fairy tale of yesteryear, the bodices and wide and vaping skirts , the luxurious applications of flowers and pearls, handmade, with love, by the artisans of the maison, return.
A white horse in the background reminding us that perhaps this is not the time to surrender to a world that wants us in comfy suits, socially spaced and lost in our creative skills, but rather it’s the time to open our eyes and dream, in order to reborn a better world.
