As Palm Beach County businesses begin to reopen, the City of West Palm Beach is offering residents the peace of mind that they will not have to compromise safety for normalcy. The city launched its West Palm Shops webpage, a virtual directory of stores across the West Palm Beach. The website serves as a directory for West Palm Beach stores that are open for online ordering, pickup, and delivery. The campaign evolved from the West Palm Eats initiative that was launched earlier this month to help keep local eateries in business through state-mandated closures.
Mayor Keith James established the initiative to unify the retail community, support local businesses, and offer residents some “retail therapy,” all while keeping a safe distance. During these uncertain times, it comforting to know that residents can regain some normalcy and shop safely from their favorite local stores, like Steel Tie Spirits, Pioneer Linens, and more.
“With online ordering, pickup, and delivery, getting the items you need from the local stores you love is quick and easy. Placing your orders online with our local retailers provides you with the everyday comforts and sense of normalcy you crave,” said Commissioner Kelly Shoaf, the team leader for the COVID-19 Response Unit for Economic Support and Recovery.
