The Clash de Cartier collection has been called many things: Subversive; disruptive; a game changer in the maison’s aesthetic heritage. And for the first time, Cartier is bringing its immersive pop-up dedicated to this range for the first time to Singapore, following the success of the original Parisian version.
Held at STPI Creative Workshop and Gallery from 15 to 17 November, the pop-up takes on the collection’s theme of duality via contradictions and juxtapositions. The experience begins with a questionnaire that will lead you to the starting point of one of two main rooms: The Bookstore or the Record Store. The former has literature of various genres and themes decked on the shelves and the tables. There is also a personality test that rewards you with a personalised typewritten Haikus by poets stationed in the room.
In the Record Store, soundscapes take centerstage with highly focused sound showers blasting the Clash de Cartier playlist put together by French sound designer Michel Gauber. Tracks are a mish-mash of genres from classical to rock. Want to take the playlist home with you? Scan your Spotify code for access.
No pop-up is complete without ‘gram-worthy photo opportunities. Every room at Clash de Cartier Studio is beautifully and creatively furnished with unique details like optical illusions. Another memento you can leave with is a printed portrait with key product codes of the Clash de Cartier collection.
After all that excitement, troop over to the cafe for a complimentary Clash party and drink to the live sounds of a DJ from 6pm to 9pm. The interior at this cafe is a testament to the word “Clash” in Clash de Cartier as it cleverly melds Singapore-inspired decor and contemporary European design with metallic accents.
The Clash de Cartier Studio pop-up is happening from 15 to 17 November, 41 Robertson Quay, Singapore 238236. Register for an hourly slot here.
