What We’re Saying: Edison Chen, Kevin Poon, and CLOT have a treat for fans of the Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death.” After bringing back the iconic collaboration earlier in the year, and following it up with an alternate colorway, the lifestyle brand has yet another variation on the way. Previewed today on the CLOT instagram account is a new “Solar Red” colorway of the CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D.”
After first being teased in a see-through Swoosh logo, the forthcoming Air Max 1 can now be seen in full, albeit showcased under red lighting that leaves the exaction coloration and overall construction uncertain. We can tell, however, that the sneaker does incorporate familiar K.O.D. design details, including branded lasering at the heel. A cursive CLOT logo emerges at the forefoot as well to further signal the collab.
CLOT originally released the Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” back in 2006, as it has become one of the most sought-after Air Max collaborations in the years since. This new colorway of the sneaker extends the lifespan of the celebrated project, with a release that is scheduled for July 20, exclusively at JUICE. As we still don’t have a clear look at the shoe, again due to the lighting of the preview image, be sure to check back here for more concrete details.
