For its latest collection, Coach has once again teamed up with BAPE for a collaborative range featuring accessories, apparel, and shoes – including a denim-clad iteration of the signature BAPE STA sneaker.
Merging inspiration from their respective hometowns, Tokyo and New York, the shoe combines BAPE’s streetwear aesthetic and Japan’s vast denim history with Coach’s signature craftsmanship and leatherwork. Atop the denim upper sits BAPE’s star in a brown leather, alongside Coach designer Stuart Vevers’ dinosaur graphic that has become synonymous with Coach in recent seasons.
In addition to the sneakers, hoodies and T-shirts printed with a limited-edition pattern are available, as well as bags and other accessories (including a Baby Milo plush toy) combining the two brands. The campaign for the collab also features Megan Thee Stallion (who’s recently joined Michael B. Jordan, Selena Gomez, and Yara Shahidi as a Coach ambassador) sporting the range, and also stars one of the rapper’s four French Bulldogs.
BAPE has seen a handful of collaborations this year, including footwear with Dr. Martens and New Balance, as well as merch together with Kid Cudi. It is old news that brands are continuing to harness the power of collaboration, especially when it comes to working with established streetwear labels such as BAPE, which comes with a loyal audience and authority in the scene.
The Coach x BAPE collection is now available to shop online at BAPE’s website, as well as in-store, with the BAPE STA sneaker retailing at $581.
