Hemingway Daiquiri at The Pearl Hotel
- 2 oz Havana Club rum
- .25 maraschino liqueur
- 1 tsp sugar
- .75 oz lime juice
- .5 oz grapefruit juice
To create this cocktail of the week, add Havana Club rum, maraschino liqueur, sugar, lime juice, and grapefruit juice to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well, and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cherry and lime wheel.
As with many literary greats, it can be said that much of Ernest Hemingway’s creativity was cocktail-inspired. At The Pearl Hotel, his namesake daiquiri is a tribute to his affinity for both stiff drinks and the 1940s Havana pubs that served them.
