Sky Juice at Rosewood Baha Mar, The Bahamas
- 1oz Plymouth Gin
- 1oz condensed milk
- 5oz coconut water
A simple yet refreshing cocktail, Sky Juice combines just coconut water, condensed milk and gin. At Rosewood Baha Mar, this satisfying drink is served to guests on the resort’s poolside sunloungers from its dedicated Sky Juice Cart. The cocktail is made by slicing a fresh coconut apart to get the water out, before combining all ingredients, placing them in a blender, then finely straining the mixture into a 375ml bottle. This is then poured over an ice ball in an Old Fashioned glass and topped with roasted nutmeg coconut flakes.
Andrea Lanza, the assistant director of beverage at Rosewood Baha Mar says: “Sky Juice has been a local, island favorite for decades, and we are thrilled to be bringing an authentic Bahamian cocktail to Rosewood guests and locals alike. Sky Juice reflects one of the many culinary traditions of the Bahamas, and at Rosewood Baha Mar we want to introduce our guests to all that the island has to offer. As the perfect refreshment to enjoy under the island sun, Sky Juice is served to our guests relaxing poolside by a dedicated Sky Juice cart for a truly unique experience.”
Rosewood Baha Mar opened in June of this year, revealing its bright and breezy interiors, which combine Bahamian spirit with stylish modern design. The resort sits on the shores of Cable Beach with lush gardens surrounding the enclave of beachfront villas, pools, restaurants and bars, and Sense, A Rosewood Spa. And while poolside cocktails beckon by day here, it’s the resort’s elegant Manor Bar that provides expertly created cocktails each night.
