Every year, Bilbao hosts the famous Bar Pintxos Competition.
Aimed at promoting bar top hospitality and providing food fans with a fun-filled environment to enjoy their favorite snacks, the competition has run since 1997. Many of the city’s top bars and restaurants will be showcasing their finest pintxos, and the delicious snacks will be available for the public as well as a panel of judges. The winner of this year’s prestigious ‘Golden Beret’ went to Gure Toki (Plaza Nueva, 12, Casco Viejo) for its idiazabal soup with eggs, cheese and wild mushrooms.
