French maison gastronomie Dalloyau is a historic part of the Gallic culinary landscape. In business for more than 300 years, and having served the court of Versailles’ royal court since 1682, the brand is known today mostly for its fine pastries, chocolates and preserves.
From its years of elegant baking know-how, Dalloyau launches its homage to this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival with the Paris Moon range of mooncakes. Crumbly French pastry sablé cases are moulded and stamped with a fun mixture of traditional Chinese and French motifs: here a jade rabbit or lantern, there an Eiffel Tower or wine bottle with a glass. There are three filling flavours in the Paris Moon box: red sweetened bean paste; diced 62 percent cocoa chocolate with a hint of rum; and rum and raisin.
Each Paris Moon box comes with one large mooncake and seven mini ones. Four gift boxes come with with additional goodies, such as the brand’s gourmet jam, champagne, madelines and biscuits.
Dalloyau has three shops – one in SOGO in Causeway Bay and two in Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui; there is seasonal pop-up spot in Pacific Place in Admiralty.
