Discover an Instagram Worthy Art-inspired Journey at K11 Musea’s Art Karnival

In celebration of Hong Kong’s Art Month, K11 Musea has launched its first Art Karnival, an interactive art journey that includes special attractions, gastronomic experiences and workshops.

We’ve rounded up the event’s must-see attractions and not to be missed actives.

The Art Karnival welcomes the first showcase of Rose II by Isa Genzken in Asia. The sculpture, a 8.5 metre tall long-stemmed rose, beautifully integrates with Hong Kong’s breath-taking skyline on K11 Musea’s picturesque promenade.

Genzken, a leading female figure in international contemporary art, is known for her experimental outdoor sculptures, which explore the connections between cityscape, art and architecture. Rose II originally debuted in 2010 in New York and, through its exaggerated proportions, aims at turning the personal act of giving a rose into a gesture for the cities where it’s exhibited and for their communities.

Rose II will be on display until November 2021

Location: Promenade, G/F, Visual Corridor, K11 MUSEA

Just a few steps away from Rose II stands the interactive Rose’s Allure artistic activation, where visitors can pluck a fresh smelling rose from the giant nose sculpture inspired by a classic Greek figure. To add to the Insta-worthy experience, you can unlock a specially created filter by scanning the QR code on the flower’s petal.

You can redeem your rose through the K11 HK Mobile App upon spending HK$1,500 or more at K11 Musea. The activation will be on display until June 27

In Juanin, Plans pays tribute to his father, the famed writer Juan Jose Plans, and the dreamy worlds found in books. The piece champions freedom and the concept of being able to be anyone we want.

The pop-up will be on display until June 14

Location: G/F-1F, MUSE EDITION
