Distorted Human Figures

Peruvian -born Artist Emil Alzamora explores the human body through his sculptures that distort human forms. Each figure is melted, morphed, inflated or defying gravity in its posture, revealing a narrative and individualized character in each. He adopts a myriad of materials- including bronze, gypsum, concrete and other ceramic materials to craft each piece. The surface of each sculpture looks smooth and glazed, drawing the viewers’ focus to the form of the sculpture. Alzamora began sculpting in 1998 in New York at the Polich Tallix fine art foundry, and has since exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. View his works on Facebook and on Instagram, and also on his Website
