It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of coffee. Most recently, I have gotten into the ritual of making French Press coffee in the mornings, and absolutely love it. The only thing I did not love, was disposing of the used coffee grounds. I kept thinking, “There has to be a way to reuse these.” I started doing some research, and there are indeed many things you can do with the used coffee grounds, but the most interesting to me was using them as a body scrub.
We already know the health benefits of caffeine for the skin. It is a commonly used ingredient in skincare as it touts anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits.
I decided to play around with some body scrub recipes using my old coffee grounds, and stumbled upon one DIY coffee body scrub that I love. Exfoliation is a big part of my weekly skincare routine, for both face and body, and this coffee scrub really works for exfoliation in the bath or shower. I use it once a week in the shower on my entire body. Enjoy!
