Dolcezza is that place in-between Stockwell and Oval, filled with all authentic Italian goodies and serving 7Gr coffee from Italy. Have a taste of their cakes and pastries and down them with real espresso. Dolcezza is the first pasticceria in London, catering for events of all kinds.
The miniature coffee based desserts and chocolates were the stuff that impressed me. I couldn’t believe they only cost 95p each. The coffee base chocolates explores in your mouth as soon as you take a bite, a rush of ice cold espresso hits your throat. Pastry cream tasted a lot lighter then other places I’ve been. Once you pop a mignon in your mouth you can’t stop eating them.
Chiara Bergonzi vice world champion latte art put on a show-stoppingance, and expressed how some art was difficult to master. I challenged her to some 3D latte art, but she declined saying it was too difficult.
Fabio Centoni Dolcezza pastry chef showed us how to make a tiramisu in just one minute, making a sponge cake in a paper cup and pouring coffee over a slice of chocolate.
