It looks like Lauren Conrad isn’t the only OG cast member refusing to make an appearance on The Hills: New Beginnings. Lo Bosworth said she won’t be returning to the MTV series anytime soon either.
“I’ve lived in New York since 2012. I haven’t been on TV in so long, and so the idea of opening up my personal life is not that appealing at this point,” she exclusively told Life & Style during the #BlogHer19 Creators Summit in September. “I’m almost 33 and I go to work every day and I have an amazing team and people who rely on me. And so it just didn’t feel like the appropriate choice for where I’m at in life right now.”
The 33-year-old even admitted she hasn’t watched the reboot. “I was gonna watch the first episode with my friend Simon Huck, and then he was out of town and I was out of town, so it never came to fruition, so I haven’t actually seen it,” she added.
However, that doesn’t mean she’s not supportive of what her former costars are up to these days. “I admire from afar!” she divulged. “I admire from New York, and I wave and say hello!” Based on her Instagram, Lo is staying busy these days with Love Wellness — a women’s health and wellness brand she founded herself. You go, girl!
The Hills reboot features some of the original stars like Whitney Port, Brody Jenner, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Justin Bobby, Stephanie Pratt, Jason Wahler and Frankie Delgado. Other former cast members, such as Kristin Cavallari, currently have too much on their hands to return to the show. However, she would be all for it if the opportunity presented itself and the timing was right.
“Yeah, I would love to, it would be fun,” the 32-year-old told Life & Style and other reporters at the Art Of Elysium Heaven Gala in January about making a possible return. “Maybe next season. I know that The Hills is done shooting … It’s not up to us, unfortunately. I have a contract with E, they have a contract with MTV, so it’s up to them.”
Guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the future!
