Edible Rakhi by the Chef Amit Gothwal, Senior Sous Chef, The Samrat, New Delhi

Ingredients:

  • Marzipan 85 gms
  • Compound Dark Chocolate 30 gms
  • White Compound Chocolate 15 gms
  • Food Color                    few drops
  • Edible Sugar Stars 5-10 nos.
  • Oreo Biscuit 1 no.

Method of Preparation:

 

  1. Take about 40 Gms. of Marzipan. Add color, mix & roll it and cut into a fancy disc-shape with the help of a cutter.

 

  1. Take about 30 Gms. of Marzipan and repeat the steps as above making a smaller disc.
  1. Divide the remaining marzipan into three parts. Add different food colors to each part.

 

  1. Make a colorful strap using the the colored marzipan by mixing and rolling them.
  1. Now assemble the larger disc over the strap and place it in the middle of the strap.

 

  1. Place the Oreo biscuit on top of it and place the smaller disc over it.
  1. Along the periphery of the larger disc, place edible sugar stars or colored sprinkles, etc. (Optional)

 

  1. Your edible Rakhi is ready to serve.
