Enter a new era in stylish beachfront resorts, a delightful refuge in the heart of hedonistic Seminyak, THE SEMINYAK BEACH RESORT AND SPA. A Splash of Colour
‘’The dance of the palm tree, the oceans calling, the first rays of sun and heaven is here.” – Michael Dolan
Lush tropical gardens interlace the resort, a buffer of tranquillity and privacy. The resort offers a wide range of accommodation including Garden, and Beach wing rooms, Ocean frontage rooms and Ocean suits, all within a short stroll away from all sybaritic Seminyak has to offer.
THE SEMINYAK BEACH RESORT’S one- and two-bedroom villas are open plan with calming water features, open-sided Bale and Daydreaming Pavilions with a private pool. The bathrooms are lavish with quality spa products. The colour Pantone invites the sea foam greens and sky blues in, creating a tranquil retreat.
There are so many eye-catching and pleasing aspects at the THE SEMINYAK BEACH RESORT, an Instagram dream. The infinity pool is spectacular both in size and amenities, from sunbeds to sunken bars, lapped by the beachfront and Indian Ocean beyond. Take note of the unusual Palm trees planted along the beachfront, chosen by the management they are called Cocos Nocifera, they grow in local ravines searching for the sun and have a banana shape bend in the trunk, perfect for a beach swing, get your camera’s ready!
“We travel not to escape life but life to escape us” – Anon
Sanje Beachfront dining is a gratifying experience both day and night, the décor a Joglo Javanese Pavilion is set above the incoming waves and reflect the ocean’s faded blues and greens. Australian Chef Joshua Job has added his splash of colour and creativity to the menu, fresh and innovative nothing is too much trouble. We found ourselves at Sanje for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, a perfect place to catch the sunset or sunrise if you are that way inclined.
Santan surrounded by tropical lushness is available for all-day dining. I have the Rijsttafel firmly marked on my wish list for my next visit at Klass and Brass another clever innovation by General Manager Michael Luible and his team. Whatever you desire the staff at THE SEMINYAK RESORT will go out of their way to make it happen. From private dining in your villa to romantic beachfront dining or perhaps a table for two at the Purnama. As well as individual requests, the team also cater for specialised evenings, Fishermen’s nights by the pool, Balinese Buffet dinners in the garden, cocktails and music at the Tiki Pool Bar. The possibilities are limitless as well as the activities, morning yoga, fitness camps, bicycles, Kids club and activities, Gym, Beauty Salon and Spa or perhaps an organised tour in and around Bali.
The Ultra-modern Purnama Wedding pavilion with its pitched glass walls, offers a living painting of the sea and sky from every angle, an absolute architectural vision that any bride would be thrilled to hold her ceremony in and afterwards a stunning setting for an unforgettable honeymoon.
The Balinese hospitality is legendary and so too is the hospitality at THE SEMINYAK BEACH RESORT & SPA, the General Manager Michael Luible and his gracious staff are waiting to welcome you with an unforgettable experience of a lifetime!
Location, location, location
It’s just so easy to chill and enjoy the charms of the resort, but when you do drag yourself away you will realise you have all the good things that Seminyak has to offer right at your doorstep!
Kick off your shoes and go down to the sea and sand, it’s Sunday, brunch day, time to explore and we are heading to the boho neighbourhood of Canggu, known for its impressive surf and cool brunch spots.
The stretch of Beach from Seminyak to Canggu has so much to offer some of my favourite restaurants, and watering holes are here. Just next door the original hotspot for sunset cocktails Ku De Ta still reigns as a place to see and be seen, it has an established reputation for good food, soulful music, but also for many charity events supported by the cognoscente of Bali. A little further along the beach is a Bali legend, next to Petitenget Temple, La Lucciola or La Looch as it is fondly known by the regulars who frequently take over the two-tiered thatched roof restaurant. The food is state-of-the-art, Mediterranean with an Asian twist; the service is pleasantly comfortable with Sarong clad waiters with easy smiles, it is one of my all-time favourites in Bali.
You don’t have to walk far for more, Potato Head is destination good times and well-renowned sundowners’ hotspot you can’t miss it with its iconic façade of antique shutters collected from all over Indonesia. A bit further along the sand, cross over a hand-painted mystical bridge, and you will find yourself in a secluded Gypsy NeverLand, La Laguna. This quirky franchise was created by the group behind La Favela another Bali favorite. It has an enchanted magical vibe with its movie nights on the lawn, great food, and cocktails in an otherworldly location. Another Instagram gift.
You know you have hit your destination when you arrive at the Berawa surf Break the beach is pulsing with sun blushed surfers. Look up, and there is Finn’s a bamboo homage to good times and good surf. Finn’s Beach Club and VIP club, is where it all happens, with great food, good service and amazing cocktails. The 30-metre infinity pool with its swim up bar is the place to be seen. Or perhaps lolling about on the ocean frontage lawn is more your go. The bamboo pavilion makes the most of the sunset from every angle, a great place to spend your Sunday, or any day is a great day at Finn’s.
Canggu, a once simple coastal village situated between Seminyak and Tanah lot is fast becoming the new popular resort destination with an international clientele. With its unspoilt beauty and lush rice fields, it has become a preferred residential area amongst Bali expats and their families. A plethora of boutique retail outlets and cool brunch spots have sprouted along Jalan Pantai Berawa and Batu Bolong. We had brunch at a cool café called Cinta Café overlooking the rice fields. The food in Canggu is bordering on Urban vegetarian with gigantic Bali Bowls and Avocados galore you are in Avo heaven here! The food is trendy, plentiful and so fresh and healthy no wonder this is the home to yoga enthusiasts, digital nomads and heroic surfers! Two things not to miss, the Sunday Markets and the sunset at Tanah Lot, magic.
Now to walk back after a beautiful day under the Balinese Sun to our little favourite Sanje for cocktails and a delicious supper.
The finest, together.
