As dusk quickly falls on Men’s Paris Fashion Week FW19, it’s high time to reassess the offerings unveiled at the event pervaded by culture-conscious detailing and the “you can do it too…” attitude. In the same vein, perhaps Ermenegildo Zegna takes the cake this season as the Italian fashion house announced “My Cesare”, its first fully personalised sneaker project.
My Cesare is Your Personal Creation
At the Ermenegildo Zegna Couture XXX Winter 2019 fashion show, “My Cesare” pieces were showcased on the runway, teasing the thousands of unique possibilities. The multi-material construction allows one to customise the shoe with an array of Pantone colours for the iconic XXX logo, overlapping mesh and leather upper, leather detailing, and extra-light rubber sole.
“My Cesare” is also part of Zegna’s efforts in shining the spotlight on subcultures otherwise unseen in pop culture. Fronting the campaign are XXX storytellers, including American music artist Topaz Jonas, Latin-American singer A. Chal, and English poet and model Sonny Hall. The global ensemble of personalities shares their personalised “My Cesare” moments, making stories that inspire a generation of fashion-savvy trailblazers.
Available in-store, at selected boutiques worldwide, and online at Farfetch and WeChat, you can now own your unique creation yet stay relevant amongst high fashion sneaker-philes. This marks a milestone in the fashion industry at large, as we predict Zegna is on their way to setting a trend in the market of haute fashion footwear while staying socially relevant.
The sneakers may be fully personalised via Ermenegildo Zegna‘s interactive design application and delivered within six to eight weeks. Follow the hashtags #ZegnaXXX and #MyCesare to discover the world of XXX and its storytellers from around the globe.
